About me
Break Free: Tired of Repeating Patterns? Understand and Change Your Life!
Hi, and thank you for stopping by my profile! I'm Stephanie, a Psychodynamic Counsellor and Psychotherapist based in London, Islington.
My method is grounded in the belief that understanding the unconscious mind and early life experiences can catalyse profound change. I offer a warm, non-judgmental, and collaborative space, combining deep listening with insightful guidance. Sessions are tailored to suit each individual’s unique history and needs, whether addressing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, trauma, or self-esteem concerns. I deeply value the diversity of minds and bodies, and I am committed to working in a manner that affirms both LGBTQ+ identities and neurodiversity.
My therapeutic philosophy centres on a relational approach to working with clients. I prioritise building a secure and trusting partnership, where you feel supported and understood, before we begin to gently explore how your earlier experiences and relationships might be shaping your present choices, values, and beliefs. My holistic approach is designed to help you acknowledge and make room for difficult feelings and thoughts, especially those that may have been hard to untangle, make sense of, or share.
While we cannot alter the events of the past, we can change how we relate to them. I offer a safe environment where you can openly express your thoughts, worries, and fears, and together, we will navigate a path towards greater calm and hopefulness.
From my perspective and experience, embracing change can open the door to a fuller, more satisfying life. Change often begins with the awareness that something isn’t quite as you wish, that there is space for growth or an issue to resolve. Let’s embark together on a journey to rediscover your world and help you find your unique place within it.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
