About me

Welcome to my profile. I have many years of experience, both in private practice and the NHS. I work on an open-ended basis or for an agreed time period, with the aim of helping you to live life more fully. I also offer supervision to counsellors and psychotherapists.

My private practice is located in Tunbridge Wells, within easy reach of Tonbridge, Crowborough and Sevenoaks.

Training, qualifications & experience

Qualifications:

- British Association of Psychotherapists (BAP) Certificate in Supervision (2009)
- Graduate of The Guild of Psychotherapists' Training in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy (2005)
- WPF Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling (1997)

Experience:

In addition to running a private practice in Tunbridge Wells since 2002, I have worked continually in the NHS since 2003. Initially this was providing counselling in GP surgeries, both locally and in London. Since 2007 I have been working in a local NHS Psychological Therapies Service as a psychotherapist. My current NHS role includes providing supervision and training, as well as individual and group psychotherapy.

I am accredited with the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and adhere to it's Code of Ethics.

Accessibility

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
