About me
I am a fully qualified, BACP registered counsellor supporting clients with a wide range of issues. As an integrative counsellor, I work with you drawing on a number of approaches and techniques to reflect your individuality. I understand everyone has their own unique struggles and experiences and sometimes it can feel difficult to process our thoughts and feelings. I aim to show respect by working at a pace that feels comfortable for you where you will feel heard and understood.
Maybe you have experienced loss or trauma that was out of your control and your ability to cope has been impacted. I aim to provide you with a space that feels safe, a supportive space to explore what is going on for you without the fear of judgment. This unique space is tailored to you and what you may bring to counselling.
I see my role as being alongside you on this journey as we build our therapeutic relationship and work collaboratively. You may need a space to heal or we may explore what choices you have if this is appropriate and/or any changes you wish to make towards living a more fulfilling life.
I work using a Humanistic approach, where I hope for you to gain understanding and insight as I support and encourage you to find your solutions as you embark on a new journey. I believe with the right support everyone can gain the capacity for personal growth and change.
I have specialist training in working with eating disorders and disordered eating, creating a space where you can be heard and understood to transform your relationship with food and your body, towards a journey of healing and recovery.
I am an Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) Practitioner. This is a practical therapy that involves using fingers to tap on acupressure points and can be used as a self-help tool away from sessions. Please let me know if you would like any more information about this.
I may also suggest working creatively, as with all counselling you do not have to do anything that doesn’t feel right for you.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
