About me

My name is Simon and I am formally trained and qualified to the standards of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, so you can be rest assured that I offer professional therapy at a nationally recognised level.

As well as being a qualified counsellor I am also fully qualified in the experience of many of the challenges and traumas that life can bring. I can attest to the anxieties leading us to being stuck or lost in a bad place and, as a result I can offer genuine empathy and understanding, knowing that things can change for the better.

Additionally, If you struggle constantly with stress, anxiety or depression or have always felt as though you`re not good enough and just don`t enjoy your days then it would be greatly beneficial to get in touch and let me know what your contending with and how you feel about it.

Working together will be about empowering you to develop the tools and skills required to make the positive changes needed in your life. To feel good in your own space and to understand that we are made up of many parts, to accept the ones we don`t like because we have more than enough good qualities to enjoy our place in the world and to enjoy a better sense of identity and confidence.

Having a safe space to vocalise, reflect and then see clearly see what is needed will allow you to make informed and clearer decisions to take agency and move forward.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Further information

Long term depression or anxiety is often attributed to bad experiences or trauma in childhood. It shapes the way we think and feel about ourselves in adulthood, forming core beliefs shaping our identity and value in the world and, as a result our negative inner voice becomes dominant and dictates our thoughts and views.

Reconfiguring this would unlock your better self and working together would be about restoring a healthy balance to allow yourself the same kindness and regard that you give to others.

With support and trusted guidance this internal negative voice can be reset... releasing your potential, energy and happiness.

This therapy is a significant investment in your mental and emotional wellbeing, however, when you are able to reclaim your health and happiness and are no longer carrying the debilitating burdens daily, you will feel the benefit of your investment tenfold.

Get in touch with me for your free consultation and discuss the best plan forward to become the version of yourself that you’re meant to be!
