About me
I am an approachable, warm and empathic counsellor and am based between Blandford and Wimborne in a private setting.
Sometimes, situations arise that cause anxiety and worry and we are looking for help to try and resolve them. These issues can make us feel unhappy, even overwhelmed on occasions and have an effect on, not just ourselves, but those around us.
If you wish to reach out and make a positive change in your life, I offer a non-judgmental, safe and confidential environment to explore whatever you wish to talk about. I do recognise, however, that we are all individuals and what works for one may not work for another. I believe it is important as a counsellor to be flexible and supportive and work together to find a way forward.
Each session will last 50 minutes. I am happy to offer an initial free 30 minute session for us to meet up and see if we are comfortable working together and to begin to explore some of the concerns that have brought you to counselling.
Please see below a photo of my counselling room.

Further courses in Mindfulness, Short Term Therapy, Attachment Theory, Psychoactive Substances and Suicide Training.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Further information
My own life has been enriched with broad work and life experiences, giving me a valuable depth of understanding and knowledge for my counselling work. My recent work has included counselling university students and working with adults, many of whom have had relationship issues, history of abuse, and real concerns with anxiety and depression.
