About me
With over 10 years of experience as a therapist, and 12 years of studying counselling, only one true constant theme has emerged. That truth is the fact that we all experience pain in life, whether it's physical or emotional pain. Therefore, without being able to escape life's pain, the only option we have is to learn how to live with pain without suffering from the inevitability of it and avoid unnecessary suffering in the future. So how do we do that? The genuine truth is there is no tried and true method to alleviate it, especially emotional suffering.
There are many different forms of therapy and therapeutic styles and sometimes finding the right approach and the right therapist takes time. My training and experience (in both sitting with others who are profoundly feeling the full effects of life's suffering as well as tapping into my own suffering and pain) has helped me become what is described as , 'an active listener'. I do not offer advice or techniques, rather my wholehearted attempt at understanding your own suffering and saying in a genuine compassionate way...'you are not alone'. Many have gained benefit from this approach - and at the same time- I'm sure many have thought speaking to me has been a waste of time. Either way, my intention is to help.
To help you decide if I might be the right therapist for you, I offer a free 15-minute introductory phone call meeting. Please feel free to text me on 07757935795 to schedule a phone call. Thank you.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
