About me
Hello and Welcome!
My name is Shaun, and I’m an Integrative Transactional Analyst. I support adults who are navigating life’s challenges — including anxiety, low self-esteem, trauma, relationship difficulties, and neurodiversity (such as ADHD or autism).
I offer a compassionate, curious space where we can explore and make sense of your experiences together — respectfully and at your own pace.
My Approach to Therapy
I'm trained in Transactional Analysis from an Integrative Perspective and work relationally. This means the relationship we build together is central to your healing process.
Therapy with me offers a place where you can feel understood and accepted. Over time, this process will help you let go of guilt, shame, and self-criticism — allowing you to feel more content in yourself, more understood in your relationships, and live aligned with what truly matters to you.
My integrative approach explores your early experiences and relational patterns that are presenting as emotional or physical stress in daily life now. If you are worried that you cannot remember your childhood, or that what you say won't make sense, don't be! It is my job to work that out. Together, we will make sense of your experience. Allowing you to let go of behaviour that was once vital in childhood, but has since become problematic.
Background and Experience
Before training as a therapist, I spent over nine years working in the NHS as an A&E Nurse. This experience gave me a unique insight into mental health, trauma, stress, and crisis — and how they affect both body and mind.
I often work with people who have lived through difficult or overwhelming experiences, and with those who are exploring possible neurodivergence (AuDHD, ADHD, or autism). My background helps me understand how past events shape your sense of safety, identity, and connection — and how these can manifest as anxiety, depression, burnout, or difficulties in relationships.
Online Therapy Across the UK
I offer online counselling and psychotherapy for adults throughout the UK. Online therapy is:
- Flexible
- Affordable
- Accessible – offering a “therapist near me” from anywhere in the country, without the commute.
If you have any questions about fees, scheduling, or how online therapy works, please feel free to ask.
A Personal Note
My work has always been rooted in the helping professions. I’m deeply interested in how people become who they are — and what supports genuine change and healing.
I find great fulfilment in helping people reconnect with themselves, discover new possibilities, and live more fully. The work we do in therapy is yours to keep and carry with you throughout your lifetime.
Next Steps

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
Initial Consultation
So we can get started, please send me an email with your contact information and a brief overview of your concerns. This will give you a chance to share your situation with me. I will respond as soon as I am able.
Once we agree on a suitable day and time for an online session, I will send an email including our contract and payment details. Please note that payment is required in advance of each session.
Our first session will be an opportunity for mutual assessment. During this time, I will get to know you better, including your current challenges and anything you wish to discuss or feel is important for me to know. I will also explain how we can work together and answer any questions you might have. Together, we’ll decide whether we’re a good fit to continue working collaboratively.
