About me

Offering online sessions via face time, WhatsApp video, Skype or Zoom.

About me

I am a BACP accredited CBT Therapist, EMDR practitioner and qualified supervisor with experience or working with adults and children of all ages.

My practice is accessible for those living in the Stratford-upon-Avon, Bideford, Redditch, Worcestershire, Warwick, Leamington and Coventry areas, just off the A46 in both Warwick and Stratford-upon-Avon.

The Service I offer

Qualified in CBT, and EMDR I work electively, offering a confidential, one to one service from various styles of counselling. I believe that it’s important to find a way of working that best suits my client in order for them to feel empowered to move forward. I do ask you to do work at home between session, which both aids and enriches our sessions, and enables you to practice the skills we discuss in the session.

I am also trained in Sex and Porn addiction, specialising in working with clients struggling with this issue and Partners or those struggling with this addiction.

My belief

My passionate belief is that everyone has the skills, right and the ability to a fulfilled and happy, contented life. I believe that with a safe place to explore your potential in a none judgemental, confidential, relaxed, and supportive environment you will be able to find the answers you need to move forward to a rewarding and happy future.

Why therapy?

You may be exploring therapy for a number of reasons, trying to cope with the loss of a partner or family member, relationship issues, or trying to make sense of something which has happened during your childhood.

You may be fed up with being angry or feeing low and have a need to identify and change what you might think is unhealthy behaviour.  You may not be clear about the reasons for starting therapy at all and that’s okay. Many of us experience a general sense of unhappiness, anxiety, low mood, stress or dissatisfaction and use therapy as a way of finding a way through it.

There are no right or wrong reasons to use therapy It just takes willingness to make changes and look inside yourself for the answers you already hold.

I can help you do this and working together we can explore them and find alternative ways to view things. Making sense of your actions and personal understanding go a very long way to enjoying life and fulfilling your true potential

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

If a Counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the Counsellor to discuss the options available.
