About me

**Currently offering telephone and Skype Sessions due to COVID-19 restrictions

Let me help you overcome problems relating to stress, depression, anger, trauma, addiction, personal and relationship issues, self esteem, bereavement and loss, sexuality and sexual issues, abuse, personality disorder, debt, as well as issues relating to culture and ethnicity. What ever the problem is we can work through it together and overcome the issues in a positive and effective manner that suits YOU best.

I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) and I have many years of experience in working with individuals, groups and families who have experienced Mental Health difficulties.

Although I am trained predominantly to work with a Person-Centred approach I do offer other therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Motivational Interviewing.

We can work together to meet your needs and what is most suitable for you to reach your desired aims and goals of the therapy. There are no time constraints to how many sessions you commit to, as I offer long term and short term/brief therapy.

I also have experience in working with diverse and ethnic minority groups and speak fluent urdu for clients who have language barriers. I am able to offer a safe and confidential space for my clients to explore their issues at the pace that's most comfortable to them, ensuring you that you will be heard without being judged and enable you to move forward in a positive way.

Member organisations

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
