About me
Hello, I’m Scott.
Life doesn’t always go to plan. At times, it can feel overwhelming, confusing, or simply too much to manage on your own. Whether you're facing stress, relationship difficulties, grief, burnout, or just a general sense of feeling stuck, talking things through in a supportive space can make all the difference.
I offer a calm, respectful environment where you can speak openly and feel truly heard. My aim is to create a space where you can explore what’s going on for you without pressure or judgment. I’ve supported people through many of life’s challenges, including times of transition, loss, and uncertainty - experiences that often shape who we are and how we see ourselves.
The way I work is grounded in Person-Centred Counselling, Gestalt Therapy, and Transactional Analysis. These approaches allow me to adapt to what feels most helpful for you, with sessions shaped around your pace and priorities.
Training, qualifications & experience
My experience includes supporting people through major life changes and health challenges. This has deepened my understanding of resilience, identity, and how life events shape us.
At the heart of my work is warmth, honesty, and respect. I meet you where you are, offering support at your pace. My own life journey has shaped how I connect with empathy, openness, and care. If you're ready to talk, I’m here to support you.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

I believe therapy should be accessible, so I offer a limited number of lower-cost spaces. Feel free to get in touch to discuss what works for you.
Your first session is an opportunity for us to connect and discuss what brings you to counselling. This session allows me to understand your needs and gives you the chance to experience my approach firsthand. It’s completely free of charge and comes with no obligation to continue.
