About me
Personal difficulties can arise unexpectedly or you might find yourself struggling with issues that seem insurmountable and out of control. This can leave you feeling confused, vulnerable and sometimes stuck. These feelings might be difficult to understand and impact on your behaviour and engagement with others. Counselling can help you understand why you feel this way and how it effects your behaviour; guiding you to make adjustments, changes that help you progress in a more positive way.
I am an integrative counsellor, who works from home using different approaches to work with my clients. This is dependent on your needs and what you feel comfortable with. I offer a confidential, safe and non-judgemental space for you to talk about your life and explore areas of concern that may be difficult, painful or confusing for you.
I am fully trained and use both my knowledge and experience to ensure that you are being heard and understood. Together we can look at your day to day difficulties and past issues; gaining understanding about your personal world.
I offer both short and long term counselling and like to review regularly, so you feel that the counselling relationship is building and we are working towards your goals and focus areas.
As a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I work to their Ethical Framework which provides me guidelines for working safely and ethically within a counselling relationship.
As I value the therapeutic relationship, I always offer a free 20 minute introduction session.
Couples therapy looks to improve communication and resolve any issues within an intimate relationship. We work on understanding how external factors, family and lifestyle can affect the relationship with arguing or not being able to resolve conflict to move forward.
Sessions:
Sessions last 50 minutes and are ideally weekly, but this is negotiable to fit your needs. I work from home and online offering a confidential, warm, non-judgemental environment aimed to make you feel comfortable to talk and work through your issues.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions or to arrange an introduction session.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
