About me
Hello, my name is Sarah, and I’m a qualified Counsellor based in Reading, Berkshire. I want you to know that you’re not alone in how you’re feeling. I offer a supportive, non-judgmental space for adults and young adults to explore their thoughts and emotions at a pace that feels right for them.
Counselling can help you find greater calm, clarity, and confidence, supporting you in regaining control and moving forward with a sense of balance. I’m here to help you navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, bereavement, ADHD, and family issues, offering a compassionate space where you feel heard and understood.
My own journey through anxiety and emotional overwhelm led me to discover how powerful it can be to talk. That experience inspired me to become a counsellor, to offer others the same care and space that helped me heal.
I look forward to walking alongside you on your journey.
Training, qualifications & experience
- Level 5 Prof Dip in Psychotherapeutic Counselling Practice MNCPS (Acc)
- Diploma in Hypnotherapy
- National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS)
- My experience includes working as a Counsellor in a local hospice, where I had the privilege of assisting Cancer patients and their families during such a challenging time. I truly understand the importance of compassion and support; I helped to navigate their grief by being a friendly face and a listening ear.
- Before I became a Counsellor, I dedicated many years to working in education, where I found great fulfilment in supporting young people and adults in their mental health journeys.
- In my spare time, I dedicate myself to supporting children and families who have been impacted by crime and abuse. I help them to navigate their challenges, offering emotional support, resources, and guidance as they work towards healing and rebuilding their lives.
