About me
Hi I'm Sarah, an experienced trained Therapist in CBT, REBT and EMDR.
I can offer help with empathy and understanding for you to untangle your thoughts, emotions, and past experiences to make them more manageable for the future.
You may be:
- feeling overwhelmed, anxious,
- have social anxiety
- friendship issues
- depressed or having low moods
- having family issues ( with partners/ children/older parents)
- work issues (with colleagues, work culture)

I work collaboratively and compassionately to help you understand and unpack what's happening, how to make sense of it and work on how to move forward with confidence and clarity.
My therapeutic approaches that I use are as follows:
CBT
Helps you notice unhelpful thoughts and habits, and practice healthier, more effective ones.
REBT
Helps you challenge harsh, rigid beliefs and replace them with kinder, more flexible ones.
EMDR
Helps your brain reprocess painful memories so they feel less intense and more manageable
My work with you will be practical, at your pace and there to support you to heal old wounds, challenge unhelpful patterns, set goals, help you with new tools to use and build a new life that feels calmer, clearer, and more your own.
I also offer an additional wide range of therapeutic approaches depending on what you are seeking to have help with such as Compassionate Focussed Therapy, and many more.
Working with a warm, practical and non judgemental approach you have the opportunity to discover and learn new ways to help you make sense of what has been happening to you and how to now move forward to make real changes in your life.

Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified CBT, REBT, EMDR Therapist MSc, MNCPS and a registered member of The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS).
I have extensive training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Rational Emotive Behavioural Therapy (REBT) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing).As part of the training I have also learnt to integrate different techniques and concepts such as Compassionate Focused Therapy (CFT) ,Solution Focused Therapy (SFT) Mindfulness

The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society This Not For Profit association of counsellors and psychotherapists aim to support the counselling profession, members and training organisations. In 2013 the NCS register was accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under the Accredited Voluntary Register Scheme. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

My fees are £70 per hour and I realise that it is important to work with a Therapist that you can feel secure and can trust and therefore I offer a 15 minute free consultation. The sessions can either be face to face and on Zoom. I am flexible with days and times.
