About me
"Do you ever lie awake at night because your mind just will not switch off?"
- Perhaps you are replaying conversations.
- Worrying about tomorrow.
- Questioning decisions.
- Carrying emotions you have not had the chance to explore.
Overthinking is not always about finding the answers. It can be your mind trying to make sense of experiences you have not yet had the chance to understand.
You do not have to have all the answers before reaching out.
Reaching out for support can be difficult, but you matter, and you are not alone.
I work with several issues including:
- Anxiety
- Women's Health
- Stress
- Low mood or Depression
- Mental Health
- Grief
- Confidence issues
- Relationship difficulties
- Low self-esteem
- Loss
- Family or Parenting Challenges
- Simply feeling lost and disconnected from yourself
My approach is person-centred, which means I believe you are the expert in your own life. Rather than telling you what to do, I work alongside you at your pace, offering empathy, understanding and acceptance while we explore what is happening for you and what feels important to you.
Counselling is not about being “fixed.” Sometimes it is about finally having a space where you can pause, breathe, feel heard, and begin making sense of things in your own way.
I offer:

Training, qualifications & experience
I work with adults aged 18+ and offer support with:
- Anxiety and stress
- Mental Health
- Depression and low mood
- Grief and bereavement
- Low self-esteem and confidence
- Relationship difficulties
- Family and parenting challenges
- Life transitions and career changes
- Feeling overwhelmed or emotionally stuck
- Personal development and self-exploration
Alongside my private practice, I have experience working within community organisations, including Infinity Initiatives, supporting individuals facing a range of emotional and personal challenges, and within a Women’s Centre environment offering support in a compassionate and safe setting. I also now work as a sessional counsellor for Thrive CIC, supporting clients with a wide range of presenting issues.
I also bring lived experience of grief and loss, significant life changes, parenting, caring responsibilities and women's health. These experiences have strengthened my empathy and understanding of the challenges people can face, enabling me to offer an authentic, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you, as a client, can explore your thoughts and feelings.
All of this together has deepened my appreciation of how important it is to feel heard, accepted and understood without judgement.
Qualifications
During my studies at Tameside College, I received "Adult Student of the Year 2025" and "Overall Adult Student Learner of the Year for 2025. I was very proud to receive these achievements as they recognised my dedication, perseverance and commitment to my personal and professional development throughout my counselling journey. They reflect the qualities and values I continue to bring to my practice: compassion, authenticity and lifelong learning whilst offering genuine support to others.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Taking the step into counselling can feel daunting enough without worrying about the financial side. I believe support should feel accessible, which is why I do offer a sliding scale and have limited lower rates for students and people on lower incomes whenever possible. Please feel free to get in touch so we can have a chat and discuss further.
