About me
I offer counselling for adults, both in person and online. I also work with children and young people in person.
I provide a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace.
My role is not to fix or heal you, but to offer a space where we can explore your experiences together, so that you can better understand yourself, develop ways to regulate and feel more grounded and autonomous in your life.
My approach is relational, holistic, and integrative, drawing on humanistic counselling, psychodynamic understanding, parts work, shadow work, and creative methods. I work collaboratively, adapting the process and modality to your individual needs.
With adults, the work is relational and may include interventions such as developing tools for emotional regulation, gaining insight into patterns, and finding a language for your experience. With children, I work in a client-led and relational way, following their pace and way of expressing themselves, helping them to make sense of their experiences and their feelings.
Alongside talking therapy, I offer the option to work therapeutically with art. No prior experience is needed. Creative processes can support regulation, expression, and insight, especially when things are difficult to put into words, and can help bring underlying patterns and beliefs into awareness.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP Accred) and have over ten years of experience working in the field.
I trained as a transpersonal arts counsellor at Tobias School of Art and Therapy. I have also completed additional training in online counselling.
I have experience working with adults, children and young people, including individuals with learning disabilities and neurodivergent profiles.
I work in accordance with the BACP ethical framework and receive regular clinical supervision.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
