Want to be a happier and closer family? Explore difficulties and improve communication?
We all experience difficult times in our lives and struggle to cope on our own. During these times we could benefit from talking to a counsellor.
I have fifteen years experience working as a qualified psychotherapist and counsellor. Over the last 10 years I have built up two private counselling practices in East Grinstead.
I work with children, adolescents and young adults, aged from 8-26. I provide both long term and short term therapy with individuals and their families.
For over thirteen years I worked in local secondary schools setting up and providing counselling to students and supporting staff. During this time I built successful working relationships with local Doctors, CAHMS and young people’s services.
In addition to my MSc in Psychodynamic Counselling for Children and Adolescents I have a Diploma in Group Supervision and have continued to engage in regular training and other developmental activities.
I am an Associate Lecturer at London University, teaching on the MSc Psychodynamic Counselling for Adults. I also provide supervision to trainee and qualified counsellors.
I am an Accredited and Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and follow their ethical codes and practices. I am up to date with Safeguard training.

Reviews:
''Sara is really nice and easy to talk to. Some of the stuff that we talked about was hard but Sara was easy to talk to and very gentle''. Young Person
''Sitting here now, months down the line, I have my child back. They are happier and their old selves, laughing and smiling. My relationship with them is back to how it was and we owe it all to Sara. I will never forget what Sara has done for my family and we would recommend her to any of my friends and family who need help''. Parent
I would be very happy to have a no-obligation chat about any worries or concerns that you might have about your child and to discuss how I could help. Why not give me a ring and ask any questions that you might have about your child attending counselling.
Together we will explore and resolve difficulties and find a way forward

Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
