About me
Thank you for visiting my profile.
I offer a warm, non-judgemental approach to counselling. I believe counselling can be life-changing by providing a safe, confidential space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours. I am a registered member of the BACP.
Sometimes we need to let go of things that are on our minds but are afraid of the consequences therefore life feels outside of our control and the ability to cope seems not enough. You may need more support to help you rediscover your spirit and qualities by picking your way through what is going on in your life. I know the importance of feeling safe as I have lived life experiences in emotional situations so understanding the way you are feeling, and the thoughts you have will bring challenges, we can explore these feelings together as we build on our relationship.
Hi, I'm Sandra, a counsellor based in Warrington, Cheshire. I am a person-centred counsellor with an integrative approach, I believe in your innate ability to find your way forward. As a counsellor, I am here to help you bring sense to your life by allowing you a safe space and time to discuss your thoughts and feelings. I am passionate about helping individuals to feel heard and understood. I can use various skills to tailor each session to your specific needs which I believe will enable you to reach your goals.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

So many people are unfamiliar with what life looks like for adults and children with ASD. From my experience & training, I have a more in-depth knowledge of how challenging it can become as well as identifying strategies to reduce anxiety and maintain good mental health and well-being. I have a detailed understanding of the challenges encountered when living with Autism.

Further information
I have extensive experience working with cancer-related diagnosis/treatment where I support NHS patients and their families/carers within the daily oncology unit. I have an in-depth interest in working with grief & Loss and individuals with life-limiting illnesses. For over two years within the NHS/Private setting, I have supported those with Anticipatory Grief/Bereavement, and Palliative/Curative diagnosis. I have further qualifications/training working with adults on the Autism spectrum and people who care for and support someone who has Autism through an accredited Level 3 qualification that allows me to promote awareness, acceptance and inclusion of individuals with ASD. This helps me to better understand and manage individuals with anxiety so that they feel supported living or waiting for a diagnosis of Autism.
