About me
Hello there! I'm Sanaa, and I want to start by saying: I get it. Taking that first step towards therapy can feel like climbing a mountain. It's okay if you're feeling nervous, unsure, or even a bit scared. Those butterflies in your stomach? They're completely normal.
Starting therapy is a big decision. You might be wondering, 'Am I really ready for this?' or 'What if I don't know what to say?' Maybe you're worried about opening up to a stranger, or you're concerned about what others might think. These thoughts are all part of the journey, and I want you to know that they're shared by many who've sat where you are now.
But here's the thing - by even considering therapy, you've already shown incredible strength. It takes courage to look inside yourself and decide you want support. That's not weakness; it's a powerful form of self-care and personal growth.
In my practice, we take things at your pace. There's no rush, no pressure. We'll start wherever you're comfortable, and together, we'll build a safe space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings freely.
Remember, seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness. It's okay to not be okay, and it's okay to ask for support. You don't have to face your challenges alone.
So, whether you're ready to dive in or just dipping your toes in the water, I'm here to support you every step of the way. Let's take this journey together, one small step at a time. You've got this, and I'm here to help."

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
