About me
I am a UKCP registered psychotherapist and clinical supervisor, practicing depth psychotherapy and have trained as a humanistic integrative transpersonal psychotherapist. I work with both individuals and couples.
My approach is integrative and transpersonal. I bring many different modalities in my work depending on your needs and personality.
I work creatively by incorporating the use of dream work, creative imagination, body psychotherapy, art therapy, mindfulness and EMDR. With over 12 years of psychotherapy experience, I am highly adept at providing therapy for individuals and couples.
In my therapeutic work, I have experience of working with adults of all ages from diverse racial, social and cultural backgrounds and have keen interest in issues related to relationships, anxiety and mind/body relations.
Sessions are held in person, on zoom or by telephone, whichever is more convenient for you. I offer both short-term counselling and long-term open ended psychotherapy.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
I have the following list of qualifications: BSc in Psychology, Diploma in Counselling & Psychotherapy, Diploma in Couples Therapy, Post-Graduate Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapy, Post-Graduate Certificate in Transpersonal Dreamwork, Diploma in Supervision, Foundation in Group Analysis.
I currently work as a clinical supervisor in an organisation that supports childhood survivors and current survivors of sexual violence, domestic violence, abuse and trauma.
I worked as a psychotherapist within the NHS and other charitable organisations and as an art therapy facilitator in in-patient and out-patient rehabilitation units within the NHS.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
