About me
Life can feel overwhelming at times, and you don't need to have it all figured out to begin. I offer a warm and genuine welcome where you can talk openly, at your own pace, in a caring and accepting space. Together, we'll make sense of what's happening by exploring your thoughts and feelings, helping you to understand yourself better and find the path that feels right for you.
Training, qualifications & experience
For me, being human is fundamentally about connection - with others and, just as importantly, with ourselves. In my work as a counsellor, I have seen how life can sometimes feel overwhelming and difficult to navigate. People may be coping with the loss of someone close, carrying the pain of grief, or facing challenges in their relationships. At times, anxiety, uncertainty, and the sense that life is outside of our control can feel heavy and hard to hold.
I understand that many people also struggle with periods of low mood or low self-esteem, when they may feel that they are not good enough or feel pressured to please others to gain acceptance. These experiences can often be accompanied by feelings of anger, fear, or emotional exhaustion.
I am a qualified practitioner with a BA (Hons) in Communications and a Diploma in Integrative Counselling, which supports my understanding of people’s experiences from a relational and human perspective. I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, and I adhere to its ethical framework and professional standards in my work.
Alongside my training, I bring a warm, respectful, and compassionate presence to my practice. I am committed to creating a safe and supportive therapeutic space where you will feel heard, valued, and able to explore your thoughts and feelings without judgement. My work is grounded in the belief that counselling is a collaborative process that can help you reconnect with yourself and move toward greater emotional wellbeing.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
