About me

I provide counselling / therapy either face to face at my home address, just 10 minutes from Oswestry, 30 minutes from Shrewsbury, Welshpool and Wrexham.  Over the phone or via virtual platform, usually Zoom.

You will be provided with a opportunity to talk about your feelings, emotions and what is on your mind in a safe and confidential way.  You will have space to say exactly what you want, without judgement or being told what to do.  Working in a friendly down to earth manner, you will not be told what to do, but I assist you to explore your own unique resolutions, coping strategies and find what is best for you moving forward.

If you are looking for support for yourself or someone else, I work with client from ages 13 + with a range of presentations, including Anxiety, Stress, Loss, Grief, Low Mood, Low Self Esteem, Low Self Worth, Employment Issues, Relationships, Bereavement, Bullying, Abuse in various forms  & Traumas.

Based on the Shropshire, Powys border, which is within easy traveling distance of Oswestry, Shrewsbury, Welshpool, Wrexham and further afield via online via Zoom or Teams.  You will need a car to travel to my location but have ample space to park. I do have animals, who are not present in the room, just a thought in case you have allergies.  Whether permitting we can sit outside, which can be relaxing as the view from the garden is, itself therapeutic for some.

Having a wide range of experience and training, I tailor therapy to suit your needs, using a mixture of talking therapy, CBT, Mindfulness and take away information / activities to help with the therapeutic process between sessions.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
