About me

My name is Sally and I am an Integrative Counsellor, meaning that I mix different approaches to counselling to best suit the client.  We all need help and support at times and I aim to build a strong therapeutic relationship with you so that trust and that 'solid base' enables you to feel heard and val'ued, take risks and actualise positive change.  Be your best self.

I have a particular interest in Post Natal Depression/anxiety, Menopausal Transition, Generalised Anxiety, Self Esteem issues and Depression and am passionate about what I do. I strongly believe that talking therapy enables us to progress, allows us to process and grow and if it doesn't get us to a place of happiness it can at the very least get us to a place of acceptance which is still a freeing and positive place to be.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have completed a 3 year BACP accredited Integrative Counsellor HND Diploma which included a placement and 600 training hours. I now have my own private practice which is secluded and private.

I continually update my personal development as a practitioner and have recently completed courses on Adverse Childhood Experiences and Managing Trauma.

I have worked as an Education Manager, Trainer and Teacher and have 4 young children.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
