About me

I am an experienced BACP Accredited Counsellor I have been working as an NHS Counsellor for over eleven years . I am able to offer confidential and supportive, counselling to private clients from my comfortable Counselling rooms in Hale, near Altrincham and also in Radcliffe in North Manchester.

Many of my clients see me for help with depression and anxiety, bereavement and loss issues, relationship problems or work place stress. As a professional counsellor, I am trained to offer you a safe, supportive and confidential space where I can help you deal with the issues you wish to work on.

With over Eighteen years' of continuous post qualifying counselling experience, I have developed a style of counselling which, I am told, offers a high level of warmth and support. My role is not to judge you, but to work closely with you whether that involves relaxation techniques to help with anxiety or to employ more creative methods to tackle specific problems.  My counselling is easily tailored to your individual needs and goals.

As a therapist, I wish to help all clients learn to cope more effectively with life’s dramas, stresses and strains.  It is my aim to help every client to find more fulfillment, contentment and peace in their lives.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
