Roy hutchinson BA (Hons) MBACP
If you are suffering at the moment, either with stress, anxiety, depression or low self esteem, then one to one therapy can really help you to maintain what you are experiencing and help you move forward in your life, at this difficult time.
I am a Humanistic Person-Centred Therapist, which means the foundation of my work is built on trust and openness. I offer a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings, that you may be finding difficult to cope with at this moment in time.
I do not lead the subject matter of the session, I feel it is important for you to talk about what you want, when you want. I feel this style of therapy really enables you to gain control, not just of what you are saying but of what you are feeling and in turn will help you towards gaining control of your life once again. To be within a space where you are being heard and recieving empathy is so important. To be listened to and not judged sadly is something that doesn't happen very often in our busy lives.
I have experience in working with adults and young people alike. There are other styles of therapy that I have had training in and I will adopt aspects of these to work with your specific needs and issues that you present to me.
If you would like to contact me for an initial meeting, you can do so by phone or email.
Thank you for taking the time to read my profile.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
