About me
Sometimes life can be tough and is not always fair. I get that completely. I have been there and I can help. I trained as a counsellor to support people just like me.
Hello, I'm Rosie and I am an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist.
I work with adults, and children and young people from the age of 5 years.
I am based in Tilehurst, Reading.
I believe that we all have the ability to grow, heal and change, regardless of what we have experienced in life.
I am committed to providing psychotherapeutic counselling in a safe, confidential and non-judgmental space, where you can feel supported, listened to and accepted.
I believe that everyone is unique and that people are diverse and complex. I place a strong emphasis on building a trusting, supportive and caring therapeutic relationship with you in order to create a firm foundation for the work we will do together.
I believe that because of our uniqueness, there is no single approach that can treat each client in all situations. I therefore draw from a range of theories and techniques including person-centred, psychodynamic and CBT.
I also offer creative counselling - combining talking therapy with creative interventions, such as work with sand, clay, colour, symbols and cards.
I am a qualified Infertility Counsellor and an Advanced Rainbow Counsellor.
I offer short term and open ended counselling, working alongside you at your own pace, in order to support you to uncover the root of your issues and make the changes you require in your life.
I have over 20 years experience of working with children and young people and offer counselling for a wide range of issues, from the ages of 5 upwards. I offer shorter sessions for young children, where we can draw, colour and do arts and crafts, whilst we talk.
To get started all you need to do is to give me a call or drop me an email. We can arrange a mutually convenient time to have a brief introductory telephone conversation in advance of you beginning therapy. During this time we can talk about what you would like to get from counselling and it will give you the opportunity to ask any questions. If you would then like to proceed, then we will organise your first session.
I would love to help. Please get in touch.

Qualified Teacher Status. I was a primary school teacher for 22 years and only recently stopped teaching to devote my time to counselling full time, in early 2023. I have taught children between the ages of 4 and 11 years, but have a particular affinity with Early Years and Key Stage 1.
Alongside my Private Practice, I also work as a counsellor for a charity which provides support to children and families around the Thames Valley who have been affected by crime or abuse.
