About me
I am a Counsellor, Psychotherapist and UKCP accredited Arts Psychotherapist, with over 20 years experience. I work with adults and children in a safe and confidential setting. Every day in my therapy room, I work with people who are suffering. Some are stuck, others lost and confused. Many feel that circumstances or relationships have taken them so far away from being someone that they still recognize. Words I often hear are 'alone' and 'empty'. There are many words which describe that suffering – depression, anxiety, relationship issues, stress, not coping, trauma, bereavement, parenting struggles, eating problems, alcohol issues - to name just a few. In over 15 years of working as a counsellor and psychotherapist, I have worked with all of these issues. I recognize that these issues manifest in each individual very differently - no two people have the same depression or anxiety. No two people have the same relationship with their partner or with their children. I try to look, with you, beyond the label of the issue, and help you to access the emotional world inside yourself. This world is unique to you and contributes to your specific way of understanding your circumstances, your relationships and yourself. I hope to help you discover, identify, explore and creatively work with this emotional world, to bring lasting change to the way you feel.
