About me
Maybe you’re someone who’s used to supporting others in your work, your relationships, or your family, but rarely have space to think about your own needs. You might be feeling anxious, low in yourself, or quietly struggling with things that are hard to put into words.
Therapy with me gives you a place where you can explore anxiety, depression, low self‑esteem, relationship difficulties, life transitions, or the impact of addiction, whether your own or someone else’s. You don't need the 'right' words. Together, we can begin to understand what’s been shaping your inner world and create room for more clarity, choice, and self‑understanding
I offer a calm, steady therapeutic space where you don’t have to perform, please, or hold everything together. Instead, you can slow down, breathe, and feel less alone with what you’re carrying.
How I work
I am a fully qualified, insured, and BACP registered counsellor and psychotherapist. My approach is person‑centred and trauma‑informed. I won’t diagnose you, direct you, or tell you what you “should” do. Instead, we’ll work collaboratively, gently and with compassion, following what feels important to you.
We’ll move at your pace, exploring your experiences without pressure or judgement. Over time, many clients begin to feel more connected to themselves, and better able to make choices that genuinely fit who they are.
I offer face‑to‑face sessions for adults in Southport, as well as online and telephone sessions for adults across the UK.

Experience
Since 2020, I have been supporting adults through anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, low self‑esteem, and periods of feeling stuck or overwhelmed.
Alongside my private practice, I’ve worked within an addiction service, supporting people affected by their own or someone else’s substance use and the complex emotions that often come with it.
My additional training in trauma‑informed practice and gambling‑related harms helps me work safely and sensitively with clients navigating difficult or layered experiences.
Across all my work, I offer a calm, steady relationship where you can explore what’s happening for you at a pace that feels manageable.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
I became a therapist following my own experiences of life’s challenges and the transformative impact of counselling during those times.
This shapes how I work, with care, humility, and respect for how difficult it can be to reach out.
What I can help with
I support clients with a range of experiences, including:
- Anxiety and persistent worry
- Depression and low mood
- Low self‑esteem and self‑doubt
- Relationship difficulties
- Life transitions and feeling “stuck”
- Addiction and recovery
- Stress and overwhelm
Many of the people I work with hold caring roles or highly responsible jobs and feel overwhelmed or stretched thin. Therapy can be a place to put some of that down.
I offer a free 20‑minute introductory call so you can get a sense of whether working together feels right.
