Rick Vogan MSc BA (Hons) PGDip MBACP
I am a qualified Person Centred Counsellor and Psychotherapist, and former manager of therapy services working across community, health and charity sectors. I also work as Head of Psychology for a community health provider.
I have experience of working with a range of individuals and settings and have always worked in a supportive and explorative way to help bring understanding, calm and balance.
I have had a broad and varied career path working in a breadth of management positions in public and private sectors- alongside having studied extensively in areas such as health, diagnosis and living with chronic conditions and wider society.
About my service
I am able to provide a safe non-judgemental, confidential environment where you are free to express yourself and we are able to explore, uncover and understand what may be troubling you. We will work together, building self-awareness and determine what you need to move forward, and flourish.
Counselling is a process of developing self- awareness and investing in you, and I really look forward to working with you to make these steps and to watch you grow as an individual. It is normal that the first step in this process can feel uncomfortable and painful, my role is to support you through this and step forward together.
I have particular skills and expertise of working with individuals who have been diagnosed with a chronic condition and may be struggling to move forward, to understand what this means for them and how they can find confidence, value and purpose in life- often this feels like you have 'lost who you are'.
I am also skilled at supporting individuals with work stresses and pressures, and home life - I can work with you in a coaching capacity to help make that balance.
If you would like to find out a little further or to discuss in confidence how we could work together or if counselling is right for you, please do not hesitate to contact me.
