About me
Hello,
I’m a qualified, Person-Centred integrative counsellor based in Rugby/Warwickshire. I draw flexibly on Gestalt, Transactional Analysis, Psychodynamic and CBT approaches — tailoring our work to you, not just one fixed method.
I specialise in supporting adults with:
✅ Boarding School Syndrome — helping you unpack patterns like emotional distance, perfectionism, fear of vulnerability or relationship struggles that can come from early institutional life
✅ Fostering & Adoption — exploring identity, attachment, loss, belonging, and life transitions for adoptees, foster carers or adoptive parents
Important note: I work part-time alongside my main career, and keep my practice small — maximum 5 clients at any one time. This means I can give focused, thoughtful space to everyone I work with.
I offer a calm, non-judgemental, confidential space where we can go at your pace.
Sessions: Online/in-person at Rugby or Coventry]. Fees: £60 per session. Length: 50 minutes mins
Availability: Currently have room for 2–3 new clients — please get in touch to check!
Training, qualifications & experience
I am Level 4 trained and qualified in Therapeutic Counselling, with a Person‑Centred focus. This means I believe you are the expert on your own life — I help you find your own answers, rather than giving them to you. I also draw on other approaches where it may help you reach what you are looking for.
Before becoming a counsellor, I fostered children through the local children’s services team. I also have personal experience of the adoption process and navigating the years after a placement order is granted — giving me a unique understanding of the journey beyond the legal process.
Since beginning my training, I have volunteered at a local school counselling students weekly. I also gained experience with two separate charities: delivering online counselling for a Bristol‑based service, and face‑to‑face counselling with a Warwick charity. This range of experience means I can offer an approach that suits you best.

Further information
Clients present with a variety of issues, and my aim is to enable you to have a space where you can offload anything that is concerning you. Sessions are booked on a 6-week basis. In the first 6 weeks, you should be able to notice a change and see the benefits from counselling. As we approach the 4th or 5th week, we will review your progress and discuss how you wish to proceed after the 6th week.
