About me
Hello there,
Thanks for dropping by. Life can be fun but also a challenge and chances are there's been something niggling at you for a while or maybe you've had a moment where something cracked. Whatever it is, we can work through it together, even if you just want to cry for the first session. It happens, it's ok.
I'd like to offer you relief and growth through person-centred (the answers are within you), transactional analysis (what state of mind you were in at the time), CBT (structured goals to help manage situations) or a mix of all three (integrative). Whatever you choose is up to you.
As for me, I am a Scottish lady who has been in the Midlands for 15 years. I have various lived experiences including radio journalism, working at a university and of an autistic family member.
As well as phone and Zoom counselling, I offer F2F from a lovely room at Leamington Spa Baptist Church which kindly lets me use their premises. More importantly, I am caring, qualified, insured and a member of a professional body. Your safety and needs are everything.
Do phone me or send me an email. I would be happy to chat with you. Even if it means you don't choose me, it will be great to help you find your way.
Training, qualifications & experience
I studied up to Level 4 in counselling skills. This means that I studied for three years which included a placement with Age UK and New Hope Christian Counselling.
The topics covered include: bereavement, trauma, stress & anxiety, depression and more. I had a lot of practice with fellow students as well as my clients on placement.
I have a fair amount of life experience from being a radio journalist to working at a university with students and now providing safeguarding support for a large third sector organisation. I have seen and heard many things.

Further information
Make sure you are coming to counselling for you, not for someone else. Counselling is about self-discovery and honesty.
Whoever you choose must be insured, a member of a professional body and trained. They also need to be someone you feel safe with.
