About me
Hi, how are you?
Don't.
Don't be sorry for feeling the way you feel.
Don't be sorry for crying or being you. Nothing you will say is silly.
Instead, contact me and let's work together to try and lift the burdens off your shoulders.
I offer help and breathing space in Kenilworth and Leamington Spa where you can really deal with the stresses you are experiencing. Life will challenge you in a million ways; bereavement, stress, job issues, depression, exam anxiety and more. Whatever it is, we can work through it together.
Find relief and growth through person-centred (the answers are within you), transactional analysis (what state of mind you are in), CBT (structured goals to help manage situations) or a mix of all three (integrative). With everything in life, it is up to you.
I can meet you on the phone, on Zoom or face to face in Leamington Spa and Kenilworth. Fancy a wander? I can provide walk and talk therapy as well. I am caring, qualified, insured and a member of a professional body. Your safety and needs are everything.
As for me, I am a Scottish lady who has been in the Midlands for quite a few years. You can find me on Facebook under Relief Counselling or on YouTube for Cuppa With A Counsellor, short videos explaining counselling for all with myself and a lovely counselling friend called Val from the Therapeutic Camper.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have a Level 4 in counselling skills and lots of experience thanks to previous placements in Age UK, New Hope Christian Counselling and Cruse Bereavement. I'm now in private practice.
Additionally, I regularly update my knowledge of DEI, safeguarding, data protection. My CPD includes complex-PTSD, sandtray work and I am currently learning about internal family systems.
My life experience is beautifully varied:
Radio journalism.
Working at a university, helping teaching staff communicate with students.
Safeguarding support for a large third sector organisation.
I have seen and heard many things which is why I can really listen to you without judgement.

Further information
Make sure you are coming to counselling for you, not for someone else. Counselling is about self-discovery and honesty. There is no point hiding from your issues or thinking you can pretend your way through. Counsellors can smell this a mile away ;-)
