About me
I am a qualified counsellor and CBT practitioner offering a supportive, confidential and non-judgemental space for adults experiencing a range of emotional and psychological difficulties.
I offer both person-centred counselling and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), allowing therapy to be tailored to your individual needs, preferences and goals.
Person-centred counselling provides a space to explore your experiences, emotions and relationships at your own pace, helping you develop greater self-understanding and work through difficulties in a supportive therapeutic relationship.
CBT is a more structured and goal-focused approach that explores the relationship between thoughts, feelings and behaviours. I can support clients experiencing difficulties such as anxiety, depression, excessive worry, low self-esteem, phobias, panic, OCD and trauma-related difficulties.
My approach is collaborative, compassionate and individualised. We will work together to understand what may be contributing to or maintaining the difficulties you are experiencing and identify meaningful changes that can support your wellbeing and quality of life.
Sessions are available online, providing a flexible and accessible way to attend therapy from a private and comfortable space.
Sessions last approximately 50 minutes.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified counsellor and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) practitioner, with academic and practical training in supporting individuals experiencing a range of mental health and emotional difficulties.
I hold a BSc (Hons) in Counselling and Psychotherapy and have completed postgraduate-level training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I am also a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and work in accordance with professional and ethical standards.
My experience includes working across counselling, CBT, voluntary and community mental health services, as well as supporting children and young people within residential care settings.
Throughout my clinical experience, I have supported individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, generalised anxiety and excessive worry, PTSD and trauma-related difficulties, OCD, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties and significant life experiences.
My CBT training has included assessment, collaborative formulation and the delivery of evidence-based interventions for anxiety and depression, alongside the use of appropriate clinical outcome measures to monitor progress.
I undertake regular clinical supervision and ongoing professional development to support safe, ethical and effective practice.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
Taking the first step towards therapy can sometimes feel daunting. My aim is to provide a warm, welcoming and non-judgemental space where you can feel comfortable being yourself and talking openly about what is important to you.
There is no expectation to have everything figured out before starting therapy. We can work together to understand what you are experiencing, identify what you would like to change and find an approach that feels right for you.
You are always welcome to ask questions, share what is or isn’t working for you, and be involved in decisions about your therapy.
If you are unsure whether counselling or CBT would be the best fit, we can discuss this together before deciding how you would like to move forward.
