About me

Welcome to my page, I am a  UKCP accredited Gestalt Psychotherapeutic Counsellor.  I am passionate about providing a safe space for you to explore the issues which brought you here.  Gestalt therapy is a humanistic psychotherapy with a strong emphasis on us working together, creatively, to enhance your self-awareness and to facilitate your growth and self-fulfillment.

If you would like one-to-one counselling, do contact me. I offer one-hour sessions, ideally every week at a time to suit us both. In person in Ulverston, Lancaster, by phone, video link or in my woodland in Silverdale.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a diploma in Gestalt Psychotherapeutic Counselling from the Manchester Gestalt Centre. Accredited by the UKCP Psychotherapeutic Counselling and Intersubjective Psychotherapy College (PCIPC)

I have recently accredited, but have over 5 years experience as a trainee and many hundreds of client contact hours.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP)

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Further information

I can offer outdoor therapy on my own private land in Silverdale. Working outdoors is something very special to me as I have worked for many years in woodland management, with a successful coppice business. The importance of trees and the natural environment cannot be underestimated as a powerful way to be grounded and support connection.
