About me
Hello, I'm Rashmi and I'm a BACP counsellor offering a warm, confidential space to explore your feelings and explore ways of making your life more rewarding.
Issues that commonly come up are anxiety, loss, stress, depression, worry, phobias, self-acceptance, relationship and work-related issues. My experience includes spending six years working with bereaved clients in a hospice, one year as an IAPT counsellor seeing NHS clients in a GP practice and a year with a mental health helpline.
As an integrative counsellor, I draw upon different approaches including psychodynamic, person-centred and CBT models, tailored to suit you. Every client is unique, therefore our work together will be attuned to your needs.
I believe a good therapeutic relationship is the building block for successful therapy. During our first consultation, we will talk about what brings you to counselling and allow you to consider how you would feel working with me.
I work with ages 18 and upwards. I welcome people from all backgrounds.
Our work together may be either long-term or short-term.
Sessions are usually on the same day and time each week. However, more flexible arrangements can be made if necessary.
I work from an easily accessible location in South West London.
It is close to Clapham South tube, Balham tube, Clapham Junction station and Wandsworth Common station. Street parking is available (normal local parking rates apply).
As a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I follow their ethical framework. I am committed to providing counselling and psychotherapy for all.
Please feel free to call (07794 231 691) or email me for a confidential, no obligation chat about your needs and discuss any questions you may have.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
