About me

Hello, I'm Rashmi and I'm a BACP registered counsellor offering a warm, confidential space to explore your  feelings and what's troubling you and possibly explore ways of making it more rewarding.

Issues that commonly come up are anxiety, loss, stress, depression, worry, self-acceptance, relationship and work-related issues. As well as my private practice, I work with bereaved clients in a hospice. I have worked as an IAPT counsellor seeing NHS clients in a GP practice.

As an integrative counsellor, I draw upon different approaches including psychodynamic, person-centred and CBT models, tailored to suit you. Every client is unique, therefore our work together will be attuned to your needs.

During our first consultation, we will talk about what brings you to counselling and how you would feel working with me. I believe a good therapeutic relationship is the building block for successful therapy.

I work with adults of all ages in both long-term or short-term work.

I work from an easily accessible location in South West London.

It is close to Clapham South tube, Balham tube, Clapham Junction station and Wandsworth Common station.

As a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I follow their ethical framework. I am committed to providing counselling and psychotherapy for all.

Please feel free to call (07794 231 691) or email me for a confidential, no obligation chat about your needs and discuss any questions you may have.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
