About me

I am an experienced Senior Clinical Psychologist specialising in supporting people with difficulties with low self-esteem, anxiety and trauma.

Many come to me for challenges with self-criticism, struggling in relationships, struggling with overthinking, experiencing burnout or simply feeling overwhelmed by their day to day lives.

In my 10 years of working in mental health I’ve learnt that these challenges often stem from difficult experiences, which shape how we view ourselves, how we feel in our relationships with others, and how we cope with stress.

This has led to my special interest in working in a trauma-informed way. In my view 'trauma' may encompass a wide range of different types of experiences, which may occur at any stage in life.

My approach focuses on:

  • understanding the impact of what you have been through and building self-compassion
  • reducing the impact of the past, and developing new ways of feeling about yourself
  • supporting you to build confidence, reduce fear and learn to live a life which is truly fulfilling for you.

I also practice in the NHS, where I support people who are struggling with trauma following burn injuries, often compounded by difficult life histories.

I am very passionate about my work and am invested in trying to support people to succeed and reach their full potential.

I believe that building a strong therapeutic relationship is one of my strengths, as I aim to provide a warm and compassionate space, where clients feel that they can be themselves, and feel supported and understood.

Please feel welcome to book yourself in for a free consultation. I would be very pleased to speak with you about what you are looking for, so that we can think about whether I am the right person to help.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a fully qualified clinical psychologist and have completed a professional doctorate in this field.

My doctoral training has given me expertise in tailoring therapy to your needs, by integrating evidence-based therapeutic approaches. I am now additionally practicing in EMDR which I use to help clients process past experiences, which relate to current challenges.
