About me

Hi and welcome. I am a UKCP registered psychotherapeutic counsellor. I work from my private premises on Victoria Road, Scarborough or via on line platforms. I offer a safe and welcoming space where you can bring whatever issues you feel are holding you back or impacting upon your life. Perhaps you are feeling that other people do not understand or get you? Perhaps you are experiencing challenging times and are confused as to how to move forward? Perhaps you find that you keep repeating negative and destructive patterns of behaviour and have no idea how to change? I excel at providing a safe, non-judgemental and creative environment, allowing you to feel able to communicate freely and openly about whatever is on your mind.

I know how difficult and frightening taking the first step to reaching out and approaching a therapist can be. My first session is always free so that you can meet me and feel confident that we can work together.

To book a first session or to ask any questions feel free to text, ring or email, what ever you find easiest.

Training, qualifications & experience

I gained a post graduate diploma in relational psychotherapeutic counselling from Scarborough Counselling and Psychotherapy Training Institute.  I also hold a level three award in supporting vulnerable young people, I have lots of experience of working with young adults. I also hold a training and mentoring qualification. In addition I worked for many years in the voluntary sector and delivered specialist advice services funded by Legal Aid.

I am currently studying with the National College of Hypnotherapy with the aim of becoming a UKCP registered hypnotherapist. I believe that hypnotherapy is a wonderful tool to support therapeutic change.
