About me

Are you struggling within your life in general? Are you experiencing anxiety, relationship issues, depression, or generally feeling sad or distressed? I am an experienced and qualified counsellor and supervisor. Counselling will offer you a safe place for you to explore, unpick and understand your emotions and feelings more fully around the difficulties you are facing. Entering into the therapeutic process, having the time and space with a non-judgmental, professional and supportive counsellor will enable you to examine, identify and make sense of your life circumstances more effectively, bringing you more clarity and helping you to gain more understanding of yourself within your world.

Have you previously sought advice from a trusted friend and despite their good intentions, ended up feeling more confused and alone? Talking to a professionally trained counsellor will offer you something different. I am a fully trained and experienced counsellor and I will not advise or judge you. Together, working collaboratively, we will explore your difficulties, thoughts and feelings in a safe environment in order for you to unlock your inner potential to find your own solutions and to make informed choices which are right and unique for you. You can view more information on the therapeutic approach I use by visiting my website.

''My Sessions have helped me to peel off the armour I didn't know I was carrying around. It has been very freeing and liberating to feel listened to and acknowledged in all of my personal struggles and celebrations. I have gained many personal insights that I know I will use to my advantage in the future'' (Dec 2013)

''Your Sessions have been an invaluable experience to my recovery process in grieving the major losses in my life'' (Feb 2016)

''Rachael provided me with not only a safe space but also her finely tuned skills to help me explore and understand my problems and the outcome has been very significant and life changing, especially in the way I see things and how I understand myself and my behaviour's much better so I can change them' ( Mar 2019)

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
