About me
Hello and welcome! I’m a registered play therapist who is passionate about supporting children and young people, whilst also working alongside families to help them feel understood, supported and empowered.
I have seen first-hand the incredible power of Play Therapy in helping children make sense of their feelings, build confidence and navigate life’s challenges in a safe, nurturing and accepting environment. Play offers children a way to express themselves when words can sometimes be difficult to find, helping them explore their experiences, develop resilience and begin to make sense of the world around them. Teenagers may also chose to use elements of play or just want to talk which is fine, they are able to choose how the want to use their session time.
I support children and young people experiencing a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, bereavement, trauma, neurodiversity and LGBTQ+ related experiences. I believe every child and teenager is unique, and I aim to provide a warm, compassionate and inclusive space where they can feel safe to be themselves, without judgement.
I recognise that when your child is struggling, it can also be a challenging and worrying time for the whole family. I value the importance of working collaboratively with parents and carers, offering understanding, guidance and support along the way.
My approach is centred on connection, acceptance and the belief that every child and young person deserves to feel heard, valued and understood
I also help facilitate a support group for adults who are diagnosed as or identifying as neurodivergent. I have particular skills in guided meditation and creative visualisation, and I will soon be completing a more formal qualification in this area.
