About me

At Stoke Therapy Room, I offer a warm, confidential space where you can explore whatever feels heavy, confusing, or stuck. I work in person in Stoke Poges and online across the UK.

My approach is integrative, blending person-centred and psychodynamic therapy with a strong somatic awareness. As a trained yoga teacher, I understand how stress and trauma can be held in the body, through tightness, tension, or a sense of being ‘on alert.’ Together, we pay gentle attention not only to your thoughts and emotions, but also to how your body responds, softens, or protects.

I support adults experiencing anxiety, low self-worth, depression, trauma, grief, relational difficulties, and those navigating big life changes or questions of identity. My work is inclusive, trauma-informed, and grounded in compassion.

If you're feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply unsure where to begin, therapy can help bring you back to yourself, slowly, safely, and at your pace.

Training, qualifications & experience

  • CPCAB Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (Integrative)
  • CPCAB Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Studies
  • CPCAB Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills
  • BSc (Hons) Counselling and Human Biology
  • Currently undertaking Level 5 Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling
  • I am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) and work within the BACP Ethical Framework.

My experience includes working with:

  • British Airways in-house counselling team
  • BetterHelp (Online Counselling Platform)
  • Headstrong Counselling Service
  • Number 22 Counselling Service, Maidenhead

Before qualifying as a counsellor, I trained as a yoga teacher, deepening my understanding of the mind-body connection and how emotional distress can manifest physically. This informs my holistic, trauma-sensitive approach to therapy.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
