Dip.Couns MBACP Anxiety, Depression & Personal Growth,

About me

When you are in the depths of your troubles it can feel like a very lonely place. You may well have friends and family around who can lend a listening ear and give advice.

But sometimes you need someone outside of your situation who can be unattached to your experience.

That's why counselling is so successful. Counselling gives you the opportunity to talk openly and honestly about your thoughts, feelings, and your experiences without judgement without having to worry if you're hurting another person’s feelings or making them feel burdened by your problems.

You can say what is on your mind, how you want to say it. You will be encouraged to express yourself freely without restrictions.

The counsellors job is to support and guide you. To help you find the solutions the way forward to live life on your terms.

Whether your problems are born from a relationship breakdown, bereavement, feeling lost with no direction, low moods or depression, anxious feelings or the physical symptoms of anxiety. Your counsellor will hold you in a safe space so you can explore your feelings.

Making the first contact can be the hardest part of the journey this is the bit that may cause anxious feelings often clients say to me “I've been rehearsing all day about what I'm going to say when I get here” honestly, don't worry. You don't have to rehearse; all you have to do is turn up and your counsellor will do the rest your counsellor will make you feel at ease and comfortable. They will start with gentle conversation and from there you will feel supported. Then your journey will begin.

wishing you all the best

I help my clients by giving them the knowledge and understanding and the right tools so they can go onto to improve their life and get it to where they want it to be. So, they can help themselves now and in the future.

In my client testimonials on this site, you will see people talking about their own experience, have a listen to see what they say about their journey. These are genuine clients who were enthusiastic about encouraging others to go on a journey of discovery because they felt the benefits, clarity of mind, hope for a different future reassurance and a realisation that there is light at the end of the tunnel. You do not have to do it alone.

I am passionate about solution focused therapy this means we work forward towards an outcome of your choice. Even if you feel you don't know what that may be right now!

If you feel that you are ready to start living your authentic life and need a helping hand to get back on track, feel free to contact me.

If you are not sure, still contact me, my 20 minute NO OBLIGATION consultation is FREE. it gives you a chance to explore before you make a decision about your future.

If you do nothing, nothing will change if you act something will change.

Member organisations

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
