About me
I am an experienced, professionally accredited therapist, qualified for over 10 years. I am psychodynamic trauma therapist and supervisor in a wide range of both adult, child and family work. I have considerable experience working with children, young people and adults with anxiety, those who are self harming and experience suicidal ideation, or who have been in the care system. I am able to work dyadically with parent and child in DDP and trauma informed work, where required, and I am also qualified to work online or undertake telephone sessions. I have significant experience in providing professional support and supervision to other professionals including experienced trauma therapists and student therapists. I have a background as a health care professional and in senior clinical management in the NHS and in the voluntary sector for a mental health charity, and as a holistic practitioner in reflexology, reiki and massage. I have senior experience working in safeguarding. I teach psychoeducation and NVR to parent groups and have experience in higher education teaching.
I have Masters degrees in Psychodynamic Therapy and Nursing, and qualifications in EMDR, Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP), NVR, NeuroAffective Touch and Somatic Experiencing.
I am able to use a variety of modalities including talking, art and play therapies in my work with young people and families to be responsive to individual need. Some of the somatic trauma treatments that are available use a couch, blankets, heated pillows and supportive static touch on certain nerve pathways, and can be a gentler alternative to traditional talking therapies.
Face to face sessions are offered in a comfortable bespoke environment providing privacy, with on site parking. Remote sessions are offered via Zoom or telephone.
Daytime and evening appointments are available on a Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, and regular slots will be provided for clients to meet their personal circumstances.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
