There are times when we can experience anxiety, depression or stress. We feel sad, angry or have relationship difficulties. We can feel alone, even when we are with others, we can find ourselves trapped and scared, unable to move forward. It can feel as if our emotions and thoughts are all jumbled up into a ball and that it is impossible to know where one starts and another finishes.
We don't always want to share how we feel with our loved ones, feeling that they will judge us, they will dislike us, they will tell others or, maybe they will reject us.
Does any of this sound familiar? Counselling can help to improve your self-esteem and your self-confidence. You are in charge of your own future and your choices. I can provide you with a safe space where we can start to untangle that ball of emotions and thoughts and things will become clearer.
I am naturally empathetic, warm and genuine. Our relationship will be built on trust where we can explore what is going on for you, there will be no judgement and no telling you what to do, you are your own expert in you. It is my role to empower you to trust and believe in yourself.
Since 2019 I have been a volunteer counsellor for a local mental health charity, and will continue to do so as long as I am able to. Mental health support is something I feel very passionate about and being able to talk to a counsellor can help - I know from experience! Anxiety; feeling sad, lonely, depressed or any feeling of unrest, we all need to talk at some point.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
Areas of counselling I deal with
I offer all new clients a 30 minute initial session, free of charge. It is important that you find the right counsellor for you, and this initial session should help you decide if that is me. If you feel that you would like to proceed we will meet at the same time each week either face to face or online.
Each 50 minutes session is £40.
Thank you for checking out my profile, I know that this is the first step for you but, it's a really good first step. If you feel you would like to talk to me or meet with me, either face to face or online, please do contact me.
