About me

Are you experiencing anxiety, depression, stress or anything that is affecting your self confidence or self-esteem?   Do you feel sad, angry or find you constantly have a knot in your stomach? Do you feel alone, even when surrounded by others or do you suffer from social anxiety?

Emotions and thoughts can become all jumbled up and it feels impossible to know where one starts and another finishes.

Does this sound familiar? Counselling can help. You are in charge of your own future and your choices. I can provide you with a safe space where we can start to untangle that ball of emotions and thoughts and things will become clearer.  We don't always want to share how we feel with our loved ones, feeling that they will judge us, they will dislike us or change the way they feel about us.

I am naturally empathetic, warm and genuine. The counselling relationship will be built on trust where we can explore what is going on for you, there will be no judgement and no telling you what to do, you are your own expert in you.   It is my role to empower you to trust and believe in yourself.

Since 2019 I have been a volunteer counsellor for a local mental health charity, and will continue to do so as long as I am able to. Mental health support is something I feel very passionate about and being able to talk to a counsellor can help.  Anxiety; stress; feeling sad; lonely; depressed or any feeling of unrest - it's OK not to be OK.

Member organisations

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
