About me
At times in our lives we can need someone to talk to, someone to listen to us in a non judgemental and empathic way. I can provide this in a confidential and safe environment.
I am an experienced counsellor having worked for a local Mental Health Charity, in the care sector and privately.
I am registered member with BACP and practice their code of Ethics & Standards. I have worked for many years in the Care Sector and have experience of working with individuals with complex Mental Health issues.
How I Can Help You
I am experienced in working with a wide variety of issues such as bereavement, anxiety, abuse, relationship difficulties, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, stress, eating disorders, anger management & PTSD.
What To Expect
I work in an Integrative way, drawing upon different theoretical approaches, this enables us to work together in a way that suits you best, taking into consideration your individual requirements & needs.
My aim is to offer a warm, supportive, non judgemental relationship through which you can develop a deeper insight into yourself & any issues that are causing you concern.
Working together in a proactive way to empower the individual to look at ways or addressing these issues and moving on. This will then enable you to have the opportunity to make changes. I believe in an individuals strengths to overcome difficulties and to empower them to make changes for the better.
Where I Work
I work privately at The Therapy Rooms in Chippenham , which are both easily accessed from Chippenham, Calne, Devizes, Malmesbury & surrounding villages.
If there are mobility issues then in some circumstances I will provide Counselling within your own home.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
