Hi, thanks for coming onto my profile. I offer myself to you as a Caring Kind Professional and Supportive Counsellor.
Maybe you have anxiety, stress, depression, or relationship issues, or maybe you are feeling overwhelmed by bereavement. Maybe you are still trying to deal with your damaged childhood, struggling with self-identity, or low self esteem. Maybe you are here feeling stuck in your situation not knowing what to do, or how to deal with it. It is OK to feel stuck, its just showing us that things need to change.
By working together we can help get those troublesome thoughts and feelings out in the open in a safe, caring, friendly and confidential environment. Helping you find clarity and answers and a better understanding of yourself and your situation. I believe we all have a built in capacity for well being and growth, and as you explore yourself and your situation you will begin to see what you need and how to get it. So contact me by phone text or email and we can begin the journey, find your solutions and get things moving for you.
Counselling is a talking therapy, creating a safe and supportive environment where you can talk and explore your thoughts and feelings and how they affect your life. It can help you find the tools and self knowledge to go forward in your life and change the things that may need to be changed.
Helping with such issues as:
- Generalised Anxiety Disorder
- Low self esteem
- Panic Disorder
- Relationship issues
- Damaged childhood
- Self identity issues
Counselling can help with anything that troubles us, makes us feel confused, sad, overwhelmed, or unhappy.
I am a fully Qualified and Registered member of the British Association Of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (B.A.C.P), and work within their code of ethics. Having 8 years experience counselling with people who have brought many and varied issues into the sessions i have seen the changes that can happen within the counselling process. I have seen clients with Anxiety, P.T.S.D, Relationship issues, Divorce and Betrayal, Work issues, Asperger Syndrome, Stress, H.S.P (Highly sensitive Person), Depression, Bereavement and Loss, Anger, Damaged Childhood, and many other issues.
People have always found it easy to come to me with their problems, I am good at listening and always do my best to understand and help.I care deeply about people and their well being, and have a natural respect for everyone I meet. Becoming a Counsellor helped me develop my skills and enabled me to reach out to more people and I fully believe and trust in the Counselling process to be able to help people make the changes they need and it is an honour and privilege to be with people as they explore themselves and what is going on for them.
I work both from in a quiet comfortable room at home in Walkden, Worsley, M28, and in a comfortable quiet therapy room located in Farnworth, Bolton, BL4
ONLINE VIDEO/WEBCAM COUNSELLING
If Online Counselling appeals to you I also offer Counselling through online video/webcam via a safe and secure protected platform called doxy.me. It is HIPAA and GDPR compliant with encryption meaning I can offer you a safe and secure way of sharing whatever you feel the need to bring. There is nothing for you to download just a simple link to follow to my private " therapy room". You may feel more safe and able to open up by not meeting in person or you may feel restricted by time or travelling. Meeting online via webcam allows us to be face to face enabling the therapeutic process to flow in a similar way to meeting in person. It does however mean that you have to make for yourself a safe quiet place free of interruptions where you will not be overheard and have a reliable safe device with a webcam.
LENGTH OF THERAPY
I believe in allowing the process to work naturally and so some people feel that just a few sessions are all they need, while others may benefit from many more, it is entirely up to you. As you begin to explore you may find that things go off in a direction you may not have been expecting and so you may feel you want to explore other things as they come up. The root of the problem may be quite a way off from what you initially thought. Or you may simply feel that you need more time to fully examine and work through your initial issues. Either way after every few sessions I will take you through a review where you can look at how things may have changed for you since we began, and see what if anything I can more do to further help.
It is important that you find the right Counsellor, one with whom you feel comfortable with. Counselling can be difficult emotionally as you can often find yourself opening up in ways you have never felt able to before. As a Therapeutic relationship is built up it becomes a powerful and unique way in which time and space is allowed to explore yourself and how your relationship with life is. For this reason I do feel that it is important to keep sessions regular in order to maintain a good flow with our work together.
I will keep you safe and allow you to work at your own pace, you will not be judged and will be listened to openly and with respect and everything you say will be treated strictly confidential.
I believe it is every persons right whatever their issues, social background or financial state to be able to receive effective counselling, which is why i try to be as flexible and affordable as possible.
I understand that it can be difficult and daunting taking that first step in seeking help when things get bad, and I admire anyone who does so.
"The process of change always starts with a decision that things NEED to change."
So, if you feel you are ready to make that change but are maybe still a little unsure, know that you can contact me by calling or text on: 07857 476583, or click here to send me an email with no obligation to take things any further.
Together we can begin the process of change for you, starting your new life in getting your needs met and living the life you deserve.
