- Anxiety
- Generalised Anxiety Disorder
- Bereavement
- Family Issues
- Feeling Sad
- Feeling Lost
- Low self esteem
- Panic Disorder
- Abuse
- Relationship issues
- Separations and Divorce
- Affairs and Betrayal
- Stress
- Work Issues
- Damaged childhood
- Self identity issues
I am here to help and support you, we can find a way through.
Couples Counselling
The aim of Couples Counselling is to provide an environment where you can openly discuss and explore what's going on for you both, enabling you both to be heard and understood. Helping you to find what things need to change and how to change them. As with all Counselling therapy it requires a willingness and commitment to be open and honest as well as a desire to explore yourself and your relationship. It is a powerful tool to understanding your self and your relationship, and what it takes to make it work for both of you. I am here for you both, email, text or call me and I will be happy to start so we can begin to get things back on track for you.
Online Counselling
If Online Counselling appeals to you I also offer Counselling through online video/webcam via a safe and secure protected platform called Zoom. You may feel safer and more able to open up by not meeting in person or you may feel restricted by time or travelling. Meeting online via webcam allows us to be face to face enabling the therapeutic process to flow in a similar way to meeting in person. It does however mean that you have to make for yourself a safe quiet place free of interruptions where you will not be overheard and have a reliable safe device with a webcam.
Length Of Therapy
I believe in allowing the process to work naturally and so some people feel that just a few sessions are all they need, while others may benefit from many more, it is entirely up to you. As you begin to explore you may find that things go off in a direction you may not have been expecting and so you may feel you want to explore other things as they come up. The root of the problem may be quite a way off from what you initially thought. Or you may simply feel that you need more time to fully examine and work through your initial issues. Either way after every few sessions I will take you through a review where you can look at how things may have changed for you since we began, and see what if anything I can more do to further help.
It is important that you find the right Counsellor, one with whom you feel comfortable with. Counselling can be difficult emotionally as you can often find yourself opening up in ways you have never felt able to before. As a Therapeutic relationship is built up it becomes a powerful and unique way in which time and space is allowed to explore yourself and how your relationship with life is. For this reason I do feel that it is important to keep sessions regular in order to maintain a good flow with our work together.
My Commitment To You
I will keep you safe and allow you to work at your own pace, you will not be judged and will be treated with respect, care, and empathy. I will offer you a safe, friendly and confidential space and allow you to feel supported as we work together to make the changes you need.
I believe it is every persons right whatever their issues, social background or financial state to be able to receive effective counselling, which is why i try to be as flexible and affordable as possible.
I understand that it can be difficult and daunting taking that first step in seeking help when things get bad, and I admire anyone who does so.
I believe we all have a built in capacity for well being and growth, and as you explore yourself and your situation you will begin to see what you need and how to get it.
"The process of change always starts with a decision that things NEED to change."
So, if you feel you are ready to make that change but are maybe still a little unsure, know that you can contact me by calling or text on: 07857 476583, or click here to send me an email with no obligation to take things any further.
Together we can begin the process of change for you, starting your new life in getting your needs met and living the life you deserve.
Thank you again for taking the time to read my profile I hope it has been of use to you and I wish for you the very best and look forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards,
Paul

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
