About me
Supporting children and young people through emotional challenges, change, and growth.
I am an Integrative Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist with over 12 years of experience supporting children, young people, and their families in both school settings and private practice. I work with children aged 5–18, as well as young adults.
I provide a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental space where children, young people and adults can explore their thoughts and feelings at their own pace. I understand that reaching out for support can sometimes feel daunting, and I aim to provide a calm and welcoming environment where everyone will feel listen and understood.
How therapy can help
At different stages in life, children and young people may experience emotional, social, behavioural, or relational difficulties that feel overwhelming or hard to understand. Therapy can provide a consistent and supportive space to express thoughts and feelings, explore experiences, and begin to make sense of what might be happening externally or internally.
I support children and young people with a wide range of difficulties, including anxiety, low mood, emotional dysregulation, behavioural challenges, neurodiversity, low self-esteem, friendship difficulties, family separation, grief, school-related stress, and life transitions.
My approach
As an integrative therapist, I draw on different therapeutic approaches and adapt my work to the individual needs of each person. I consider the whole person, including emotional, psychological, social, and physical experiences, with the aim of helping them develop a greater self-awareness, resilience, and a more connected sense of self.
The therapeutic relationship is central to my work. Feeling safe, seen, and understood allows for deeper exploration and supports the processing of emotions and experiences that may be difficult to put into words.
Working with Children and Young People
With younger children, I incorporate pay and creative materials into sessions as a natural way to support expression, communication, and emotional processing in a way that feels engaging and accessible to them.
EMDR Therapy
I have completed training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing), including child and adolescent EMDR training. EMDR can help you process traumatic or distressing experiences and reduce emotional distress. I offer EMDR to children, adolescents, and adults.
Initial consultation
I offer a free initial consultation to understand your needs and explore how I might best support you.
Session Information
I offer in-person and online sessions at The Therapy Loft on Friday mornings and afternoons.
Sessions are available in both English and Spanish.
Training, qualifications & experience
I trained as an Integrative Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist at the Institute for Arts in Therapy and Education (IATE) in London, qualifying in 2014. I have since gained over 12 years of clinical experience working with children, young people, and families across a range of primary and secondary school settings, as well as in private practice.
I have recently completed EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) training, including both general and child and adolescent protocols, which has further expanded my ability to support clients in processing trauma and distressing experiences.
Alongside my private practice, I continue to work as a school counsellor, supporting a diverse range of emotional, behavioural, and developmental needs. My experience includes working with anxiety, depression, emotional regulation difficulties, neurodiversity, relational challenges, and the impact of life transitions and trauma.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
