About me

Many of us long for relationships where we feel loved, understood and emotionally safe. When relationships become complicated, painful or uncertain, it can leave us feeling isolated, overwhelmed and questioning ourselves.

I provide a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can explore whatever is happening in your life at your own pace.

I have developed a particular specialism in supporting people navigating complex relationships, including stepmother and blended family dynamics, co-parenting after separation or divorce, infidelity and betrayal, and the emotional challenges of being the other woman or the other man. These experiences often bring feelings of guilt, grief, loneliness, anger or uncertainty, and can leave people feeling misunderstood or unable to speak openly about what they're going through. My aim is to help you make sense of your experiences in a safe and supportive space, without fear of judgement.

Alongside my work with individuals, I also work with couples who are feeling a disconnect and want to strengthen their relationship, rebuild trust, improve communication or navigate significant life transitions. My approach is rooted in person-centred counselling, while drawing on a range of therapeutic techniques to meet your individual needs. I believe that every person is unique, and therapy should reflect that.

I have also undertaken specialist training in narcissistic personality disorder and narcissistic relationship dynamics. Where these behaviours are affecting individuals or couples, I can help you understand the patterns involved, establish healthier boundaries and consider practical ways forward.

As a counsellor from an ethnic minority background, I recognise that culture, family expectations, community values and lived experiences can have a significant impact on our relationships, identity and emotional wellbeing. I understand that, for many people, navigating these influences can bring additional challenges, particularly when personal choices or relationship experiences conflict with cultural or community expectations. I aim to provide a culturally sensitive and inclusive space where clients from all backgrounds feel respected, heard and understood.

I regularly write articles exploring relationship issues and emotional wellbeing. My articles have been read by people across the UK and internationally, helping many feel less alone in experiences that are often misunderstood or rarely spoken about.

Finding the right counsellor is an important part of the therapeutic process. I therefore offer a free 15-minute introductory consultation, giving you the opportunity to discuss what has brought you to counselling, ask any questions you may have, and decide whether we feel like the right fit to work together.

Whatever has brought you here, you deserve a space where your experiences are listened to with curiosity, empathy and compassion. My hope is that you leave each session feeling heard and better equipped to move forward.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
