About me
I am a qualified and insured Counsellor with experience in providing children therapy as well as adults therapy. I have experience working with young people and adults struggling with anxiety, anxiety disorders, PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), panic attack, depression, stress, eating disorders, relationships issues within friendships, families, peers or coworkers and more.
Being diagnosed with Neurodevelopmental Conditions such as ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) or ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) can often be difficult news and experience to go through alone or with your loved ones; for some, the judgment , stigma and lack of understanding can make you feel isolated, stuck, misunderstood, constantly frustrated or persistently feeling low mood, not enough, demotivated and hopeless. Finding someone to talk to, someone who understands you, can walk the world in your shoes and see it through your eyes is essential; you can understand yourself, regain your confidence, self esteem and be empowered to live a life filled with hope, positive thinking, self acceptance; you can develop the ability to discover and use your full potential and succeed. I am here to support you through your journey.
You might have already tried family therapy, group therapy or couple therapy and now seeking one to one therapy; 1 to 1 therapy allows you to have this unique and confidential space with just you and your therapist; a space to have these difficult or challenging conversations, discuss your feelings, thoughts and worries. You will have opportunities to discuss many things including any work or school related issues, anxieties, mental health struggles or mental illness. You will be listened to without being judged, labelled, shamed or stigmatised. It can feel lonely and terrifying having to bottle things up, pretend they do not exist, forget that you are struggling or hide it. You are not alone. I will support you through your journey to empowerment and healing.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a qualified and insured Counsellor with training in understanding childhood trauma and adulthood trauma, domestic abuse/violence, mental illnesses including anxiety and depression, challenging behaviours in young people, positive parenting, menopause and other women issues.
Facing various challenges in life can often lead to loss of self, identity, motivation, hope and decline in your physical and mental health and negative impact on your daily family, social and professional life. I will support you in rebuilding your self esteem, confidence and making the changes you need. You will be at the centre of our work together and the focus will be based on your specific circumstances and needs. You choose how you want the sessions to go while focusing on your targets.
I also do regular additional trainings to develop my professional skills to ensure I provide the best quality of services.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
