About me

I am dual-trained in counselling and coaching. Combining these two approaches allows for a deeper understanding of what’s going on and why, and, in time, a focus on what could be different.

I specialise in helping clients with:

  • Stress, anxiety, and burnout
  • Low mood, confidence, and self-esteem
  • Identity and values
  • Life transitions: career changes, redundancy, new parenthood, relationship changes and upheaval due to planned and unplanned events

Before becoming a therapist, I spent over 20 years in financial, professional, and technology services, helping individuals navigate change and build resilience. I understand the pressures that come with demanding roles, and the challenge of finding balance in a busy world.

I often work with people who are seeking clarity, confidence, and direction - those who want to reconnect with what matters, feel more in control, and move towards a life that feels more aligned and fulfilling.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and values-based. I work actively with clients toward their goals and believe therapy should be a space for growth and meaningful change, not just reflection.

I see clients in a private therapy room in South Woodford (a minute from the tube station) or in Wanstead (a short walk from Wanstead station). Online clients can be based anywhere in the UK.

First steps

Finding the right fit for you is imperative to making the changes you'd like to see in your life. To discuss how we could work together, send me an email, book a free consultation or visit my website (link above) and use the contact form.

I'll be in touch within two working days and we can talk through -

  • What has led you to seek support now?
  • What are you looking for from a counsellor and what would you like to change?
  • Previous experience of therapy/coaching
  • General questions about wellbeing and current support
  • You can ask me anything which is of importance to you in deciding whether you wish to proceed with me

If after this initial conversation we both agree there is a good possibility that I can offer the support you need, I will suggest that we meet for a full initial session in which we can speak in more detail.

Training, qualifications & experience

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
