About me

About Me

Sometimes life feels overwhelming or confusing, and talking things through with someone who truly listens can make a real difference. I offer a calm, supportive space where you can speak freely and feel genuinely heard—without pressure, judgment, or expectation.

I’m a qualified and experienced counsellor grounded in the humanistic person-centred approach. That means I believe in your ability to grow, make sense of things, and move forward—at your own pace, in your own way. My role is to walk alongside you, offering empathy, honesty, and respect as we explore what’s going on in your world.

Clients have described me as warm, down-to-earth, and easy to talk to. I aim to build a trusting relationship where you feel safe enough to share whatever you need to—whether that’s anxiety, grief, identity issues, trauma, relationship difficulties, or simply a sense that something isn’t right.

Confidentiality is central to my work, and I’ll always be clear about the few legal limits to this. I have worked with a diverse range of clients, including individuals in high-profile roles such as politics and sport, and I understand the importance of sensitivity and discretion.

If you’re a student counsellor, especially training in person-centred, humanistic, or existential approaches, I’d be glad to support you in your journey—I offer a student discount and enjoy working with trainee therapists.

You’re welcome to get in touch by phone, text, or email to arrange a free initial consultation. It’s an informal chat to see if we’re the right fit—no pressure, just a chance to connect.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
