About me
Hello, I'm Nicola, a qualified person-centred counsellor offering a supportive and confidential space for adults through face to face, telephone or online video call counselling. I understand that life can bring unexpected challenges, whether it’s the loss of a loved one, the end of a relationship, or feelings of anxiety, depression, or low self-esteem. Perhaps you’re feeling “stuck,” struggling with unhelpful patterns of thinking or behaviour that seem difficult to break. Whatever it is that’s bringing you here today, I want to acknowledge the strength it takes to seek help.
How I Can Help You
I specialize in supporting people through a variety of life’s struggles, including:
- Anxiety and stress
- Attachment issues
- Anger management
- Depression
- Grief and loss
- Personality disorders
- Relationship challenges
- Low self-esteem and confidence
If any of these resonate with you, or if you’re experiencing something else that’s weighing on your heart and mind, I want you to know that you are not alone. Seeking help is a brave act, and I’m here to listen, support, and guide you toward healing.
My Counselling Approach
I offer a compassionate, non-judgmental space where you can feel safe to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. It’s my firm belief that within each of us lies the capacity to heal—sometimes, all we need is the right environment, empathy, and understanding. I am here to provide that for you.
I take a person-centred approach, focusing on the core principles of empathy, positive regard, and authenticity, ensuring you feel truly heard and understood. While our work together will primarily be guided by this humanistic approach, I also integrate other therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion-Focused Therapy, and mindfulness.
My goal is to help you rediscover your inner strength, reduce emotional pain, and develop a deeper sense of self-acceptance. I aim to empower you to break free from limiting patterns, gain clarity, and embrace a more fulfilling life.
Ready to Take the Next Step?
If you're feeling uncertain or overwhelmed, that's okay. Reaching out for help is the first and often the hardest part. But you don’t have to navigate this alone. Together, we can explore what's going on, and work to create positive change in your life. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, dealing with grief, or simply wanting to feel better about yourself, I’m here to support you with compassion and respect.
If you're ready to start your journey toward healing or want to learn more, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m here when you're ready.
Let’s take the first step together.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
