About me

Starting again can feel exciting - and frightening at the same time.

Perhaps you're entering a new season of life - returning to work or study after time away, navigating a career change or redundancy, adjusting to a major life transition, or simply finding yourself at a point where life looks different from how you expected it to.

A new season can bring hope and possibility, but it can also bring anxiety, self-doubt and uncertainty. You may find yourself thinking, “I’m not good enough,” “Can I really do this?” or “What if things don’t work out?”

I understand something of what it means to step into a new chapter. After many years working across counselling, mental health and wellbeing, I have recently returned my focus more intentionally to therapeutic practice. It has reminded me that even when we have experience, skills and resilience, starting again can still feel vulnerable.

I am an experienced integrative counsellor and psychotherapist and offer a warm, collaborative and culturally responsive space where you can explore what is happening for you without judgement. Together, we can make sense of what you're experiencing, reconnect with your strengths and work towards the changes you would like to make.

I also work with people experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, stress and more complex mental health and emotional wellbeing needs. My approach is tailored to you rather than expecting you to fit into one particular way of working.

You don't have to have everything figured out before you begin.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
